The MRS is an affiliate of the American Rose Society (ARS), a national organization with over 14,000 members dedicated to the enjoyment, enhancement and promotion of America's Floral Emblem. Manhattan Rose Society focuses on providing members with information on all aspects of the rose including which roses grow best in our area, techniques of environmentally friendly gardening, preserving heritage roses, rose history and public rose gardens in our area. MRS does not sponsor a rose show. A schedule of programs and events, featuring private garden tours, is available online and in our monthly member newsletter, Skyscrapers & Roses, which also features hands-on seasonal information about growing great roses.
